A truck driver from Jackson is accused of giving marijuana to a runaway 14-year-old.

Robert Phillips was arrested on Monday in Laurel County, Kentucky after police found the missing teenager inside of his semi-truck.

A post arrest complaint says authorities in London, Kentucky received a call Monday that the 14-year-old had been taken against her will from Michigan.

A trooper pulled Phillips over south of Lexington and found the girl in his truck, unharmed.

The complaint states the girl was on the run from a group home and asked Phillips to come pick her up. The girl told police that Phillips had rolled up a marijuana joint for her to smoke and was giving her CBD oil under her tongue.

After searching his vehicle, police located marijuana and CBD oil.

Phillips is charged with the unlawful transaction of a minor and possession of marijuana. Records indicate he is still in the Laurel County Jail.
