Troopers say road rage led to a hit and run

HILLSDALE COUNTY, Mich. — Michigan State Police are investigating a hit and run that resulted from a road rage incident, they say.

Troopers from the Jackson Post were dispatched to a report of a possible hit and run on September 26 at 1:00 a.m.

According to a release from MSP, the driver of the vehicle admitted hitting a motorcycle and then leaving the scene.

They say that he later returned and contacted 911 to report the incident.

This happened in the 3000 block of East Bear Lake Road in Jefferson Township in Hillsdale County.

Troopers say that evidence at the crash scene was indicative with a motorcycle being struck.

They did an extensive search, along with MSP K-9 and Aviation, and the motorcycle and its rider were eventually located at a residence.

The rider suffered minor injuries.

Deputies from the Hillsdale County Sheriff Department assisted.

The investigation is on-going.
