A trial is set to begin today, July 17, for the man accused of killing his 5-year-old stepdaughter and setting a fire to destroy the evidence last fall.
Thomas McClellan is charged with child abuse, arson and open murder in the death of Luna Younger.
Police say he stabbed the five-year-old to death and used vodka to start a fire in the Delhi Township apartment last November. The girl's mother was working at the time.
If convicted, McClellan faces up to life in prison.
