EAST LANSING, Mich. (WSYM) -- There is a little something for everyone along abbot and Albert Street in East Lansing. More than 170 artists are showcasing their talents through painting, music, and poetry..... even juggling.
They've made the festival accessible to everyone by providing bike valet parking free, and the festival also has a partnership with CATA bus system.
"The CATA shuttle runs every 10 to 15 minutes and you can park on MSU campus at Hagadorn and Service Road. The shuttle will pick you up for 50 cents and will bring you to the festival area," Michelle Carlson said. Carlson is the director for the festival.
Michelle said having the transportation system has played a huge role in the success of the event, and for Ellen Dillman, it's part of the reason she attends every year.
"If I tried to park down closer, it would cost me a lot more, and I wouldn't walk any farther. Just park right here and hop on the bus, and there's always one coming around down at the other end at the festival," she said.
People didn't leave empty handed. Some brought home art and food, but the director says there is nothing like actually being there.
On May 21st, buses witll run from 9:30am until 6:30pm for the festival. Parking is free at Lot #91 between Service Road and Hagadorn Road. That's where you'll find the shuttle buses.
