The driver a tractor-trailer rig that was struck by a train in Webberville Tuesday was given a ticket for careless driving.
Ingham County Sheriff's office spokesperson says that multiple witnesses and statements from the engineer and conductor indicate that the truck driver ignored the flashing red lights and attempted to cross the track.
The arm of the crossing gate came down atop the truck., and the oncoming train collided with the rig's trailer.
No one was hurt.

A train collides with a tanker truck shutting down M-52 between Interstate 96 and Grand River Avenue in Webberville.
The crash happened this morning just before 8 a.m. between I-96 and Grand River. The train was headed westbound when it smashed into the tanker truck that was stuck while trying to cross the railroad tracks.
Authorities say there are no injuries for either the driver of the tanker or anyone on the train.
Numerous local agencies are responding to the crash including Ingham County Hazmat but it was determined both the train cars and tanker truck were empty. M-52 between I-96 and Grand River will be closed until around noon while the scene is cleaned up.
