EAST LANSING, Mich. — The city of East Lansing announced work to install a new traffic signal at the intersection of Coolidge and States road will begin Tuesday, Sept. 3.

Construction is also expected to begin in mid-September to install a new traffic signal at the intersection of Coolidge and Coleman roads.

Additionally, underground utility work and curb, gutter and sidewalk ramp improvements will take place at both intersections and will continue through the fall season.

During this time, community members can expect isolated lane closures and shoulder closures, but traffic will be maintained at all times.

The construction will continue through December (weather permitting) and final restoration and site cleanup is expected to be completed by May 2020, according to the release.

Community members can contact the East Lansing Department of Public Works at (517) 337-9459 with questions.
