The City of Lansing has issued a traffic advisory in advance of this Friday's Board of Water and Light Chili Cook-off.

The streets affected are Grand Avenue north of Shiawassee Street.

The BWL's 22nd annual Chili Cook-off is Friday from 5:30 - 9:00 p.m. at Lansing's Adado Riverfront Park.

Beginning on Thursday, September 28 - travel lanes on Grand Avenue will be reduced between Ionia Street and Saginaw Street to allow for the volunteers to set up for the cook-off.

On Friday, September 29 starting at 7 a.m. Grand Avenue north of Shiawassee Street will be closed to all traffic.

The BWL recommends parking at the LCC Parking Structure.

Grand Avenue is scheduled to re-open by Monday, October 2.
