The City of Lansing Public Service Department announces the following vehicular travel restrictions will be in effect on Saturday, July 22, 2017 to accommodate the Taste of Downtown.
To accommodate the set up operations, Washington Square will be closed from Michigan Avenue to just south of the Allegan Street intersection along with Allegan Street between Capitol Avenue and Washington Square. The street closings will begin approximately at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2017.
There will also be travel lane restrictions on Allegan Street between Walnut Street and Capitol Avenue.
Taste of Downtown event is scheduled from 3:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Access to local area businesses, adjacent to actual event area, will be maintained during this event. Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes to minimize delays.
