JACKSON COUNTY, Mich. — On Monday morning, a two-vehicle crash in Jackson County involved a Jackson County Sheriff patrol car.
The deputy was traveling west on M-60 at 7:49 a.m. when a Ford Mustang, traveling north on Main Street through the Village of Concord, failed to stop at a stop sign, according to a release from the MSP.
The patrol car hit the Mustang on the passenger side.
Both cars had to be towed from the scene due to damages sustained from the impact.
The woman driver of the Mustang suffered a small laceration, according to the Michigan State Police Jackson Post. And the deputy had neck pain.
They were both taken to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital by ambulance.
There was a child in the Mustang that was unharmed, according to the release.
Deputies say the driver of the Mustang was at fault and received a ticket.
The scene was processed by the Michigan State Police Jackson Post and were assisted by the Jackson County Sheriff Department, Liberty Township Fire Department, Columbia Township Fire Department, Concord Fire Department, and Jackson Community Ambulance.
No names are being released pending notification of the family.
