Tornado damaged church to reopen

Posted

A Portland church damaged by a tornado last summer will reopen it's doors for mass Sunday morning.

The United Methodist Church is still undergoing a few minor renovations, but with biggest projects finished, the pastor is ready to welcome her congregation back.

On Sunday the church will hold its normal service at 9 a.m, followed by an open house to show off the renovations.

This is the second of four churches damaged in the storm to officially reopen.

Epic Community Church has been holding services at it's location since October.

The First Congregational Church and the First Baptist Church are still under construction.
