If you're unable, or just don't want to shovel it might sound like a good idea to hire someone to remove your snow.
Before you pay a company to do it, make sure you check them out.
You can avoid getting scammed by asking to see identification, especially if a vehicle the 'company' is using is unmarked. You can even call the company's office to check and see if the person in question actually works there.
If they want you to pay in full up front, and with cash this could be a red flag. See if they can accept a partial payment before plowing or shoveling, with the rest to be given when they finish the task.
Check online for other companies, get an idea of what other places charge.
If you are aware of a scam alert others.
