Three drivers involved in US-127 crash hospitalized

LANSING, Mich. — US-127 has reopened after a multi-car accident shut down parts of the highway late Monday afternoon.

The accident happened just after 5 p.m.

Ingham County closed the southbound lanes of US-127 between Barnes and Kipp Road in the Mason area for about four hours.

Three cars were involved in the crash. A northbound vehicle driven by a 43-year-old Holt man crossed the median unexpectedly and struck two south bound vehicles.

The other drivers were a 54-year-old Jackson woman and a 45-year-old Jackson man.

All three drivers were hospitalized.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

The Sheriff's Office is asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash and has not been interviewed to call 517-676-8211.
