LANSING, Mich. — The Homeless Angels organization that helps to meet the needs of homeless individuals and families in Ingham, Clinton, Eaton, and Shiawassee Counties, will kick off Homeless Awareness Month with the assistance of The Smoke N’ Pig, on November 1st, 2019.
In 2018, 65,104 people were homeless in Michigan, including 16,391 children. To help raise public awareness about the many issues relating to homelessness in Michigan, the Homeless Angels have many activities planned throughout the month. These events include PanHandling, Extreme Makeover, Street Outreach, Project Connect, Dinner in the Park, and many other volunteer opportunities, for the community to engage in.
