LANSING, Mich. —  Students at Michigan State University are noticing some changes as they return to downtown East Lansing.

First look at newest Target in East Lansing (Source WILX)New development has a lot of people calling it "the new downtown East Lansing."

News 10 took to the streets to ask a few students and alumni what they think of all the changes made ahead of the new school year, and we got mixed reactions.

"I don't mind it, it's not a pro it's not a con, it's just it is what is is," said Michael Ebie an MSU Grad Student.

"I think places like the Target are good for students, especially near campus," said Elizabeth Beckett an MSU Alumni.

"The Meijer's are a little bit far away so it's kind of nice to have the convenience of that, but, I also kind of feel there's too much development and they're not really like accessible or affordable for college students," added Beckett.
