LANSING, Mich. — The Garden Project, a program of Greater Lansing Food Bank, is proud to celebrate the 36th growing season with the annual Community Garden Tour on Wednesday, July 17th at 5:30 p.m. In partnership with the Ingham County Land Bank and South Lansing Community Development Association, there will be routes by bus, bike and foot for all to enjoy. Each tour will feature an array of diverse gardens and plants to showcase what is growing in new and established gardens in the greater Lansing area.

Seasonal refreshments and welcome will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Garden Project Resource Center in Foster Park, located at 2401 Marcus Street on Lansing’s eastside. All tours will depart at 6 p.m. and will return at 8 p.m.

This is a great chance to explore the sights, sounds and tastes of Lansing’s gardening scene while meeting the gardeners who make it happen. Tours will showcase the ways that gardens are improving health and nutrition, building community and creating a more vibrant Lansing.

RSVP is strongly encouraged for a seat on the bus tour, generously donated by Dean Trailways. A sliding scale donation of $1-$20 is suggested. For more information and to reserve your spot, please contact Garden Project at 517-853-7809 or gardenproject@glfoodbank.org.
