Here's a look at what's happening in the Jackson and Lansing area on Thanksgiving, November 22:

Jackson Turkey Trot

The TURKEY TROT is a fun race for all levels and age groups.

9AM at Adado Riverfront Park at 300 N. Grand Ave.
18th annual 5K run

Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Jackson Thanksgiving Dinner
11AM - 2PM at King Center at 1107 Adrian in Jackson
Anyone who desires a free meal is invited, they are offering rides, and will be giving away clothing

Mason Kiwanis Club Dinner
12PM-1PM at First United Methodist Church at 201 E. Ash St. in Mason
Kiwanis club and area churches join together for the 29th annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner. A small donation is requested to help defray costs but no one is turned away.

Community Thanksgiving Meal
12PM - 2PM at Cristo Rey Community Center at 1717 N. High St. in Lansing
If your mobility or health limits your ability to attend the community meal, CRCC will deliver a meal to you. For meal delivery call Niki 517-281-1011, or email thanksgivingmeals@cristoreycommunity.org.

Local Thanksgiving Dinner
12PM - 2PM at Blondie's Barn at 5640 Marsh Rd. in Haslett
All are welcome for a free meal.

St. Peter's Community Dinner
12PM - 3PM at St. Peter Church's Fellowship Hall at 515 E. Knight St. in Eaton Rapids
Annual FREE Community Thanksgiving Dinner

Chris' 9th Annual Grand Ledge Community Thanksgiving Meal
12PM - 2PM at Grand Ledge Masonic Lodge at 200 River Street in Grand Ledge
Public is invited and it's free! They will provide a ride or will even have a meal delivered to you and your family.

Annual Campus Thanksgiving Day Unity Dinner 
12PM - 2PM at MSU Brody Hall at 241 W. Brody Road West in East Lansing
Free Thanksgiving dinner for students staying on campus. Entertainment including music, games, and prizes will be offered for kids of all ages.

St. Gerard Church Thanksgiving Dinner
12:30 PM - 3 PM at St. Gerard Church at 4437 W Willow Hwy. in Lansing 
Dinner served for all, including homeless people from the VOA Shelter. Full meal and dessert, and personal hygiene kits are handed out to those in need.

Wonderland of Lights at Potter Park Zoo
5 PM - 8 PM at Potter Park Zoo at 1301 S. Pennsylvania Ave. in Lansing 
Thousands of lights create animal exhibits and holiday lights displays. Kid can talk to Santa.

Nite Lites
5:30 PM - 9 PM at Michigan International Speedway at the US-12 entrance only at 12626 US-12 in Brooklyn
Nite Lites is a drive thru Christmas light show

Remember - most Government Offices will be closed, that means no mail service. And, if your trash day falls on Thursday, it will be delayed by at least one day.
