PORTLAND, Mich. — The Portland Police Department is investigating a shooting in Ionia County that sent a teenager to a hospital Monday night.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting near the Bogue Flats Recreational Area in Portland around 7:15 p.m.
An 18-year-old man was shot and his injuries are not life-threatening. The victim was transported to Sparrow Hospital in Lansing for treatment, Portland police said.
A large group of people met up at the park and someone pulled out a gun during a fight, Portland police said.
Portland police tell Fox 47 they are looking for at least two teenage suspects.
