OLIVET, Mich. — An Olivet High School student is in police custody because of a threat directed at the school, Olivet Superintendent Rocky Aldrich said Tuesday afternoon.
A 16-year-old sent a threat on Snapchat saying that he was going to shoot up the school.
The threat was one of two directed Tuesday at the high school, prompting officials to put the school, middle school and elementary school on lockdown.
Another unknown student sent a threat on Snapchat as well - that incident is still under investigation.
Officials decided to lift the lockdown at about 2 p.m. Tuesday, according to the district’s Facebook page.
