The Lansing Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a teenager in critical condition Monday night.
Lansing police say the 14-year-old victim showed up at Sparrow Hospital with a gunshot wound around 10:30 p.m.
An investigation later revealed a shooting had taken place in the 1700 block of Teel Avenue a short time before.
The victim underwent surgery and was in critical condition Tuesday morning, police said.
A few hours later, Lansing police tell FOX 47 a teenage suspect was taken into custody. The boy is being questioned by police at this time.
Lansing police say the shooting does not appear to be a random act and there is no threat to the public.
