The Lansing Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a teenager in critical condition Monday night.

Lansing police say the 14-year-old victim showed up at Sparrow Hospital with a gunshot wound around 10:30 p.m.

An investigation later revealed a shooting had taken place in the 1700 block of Teel Avenue a short time before.

The victim underwent surgery and was in critical condition Tuesday morning, police said.
