LANSING, Mich. — The Lansing Police Department is investigating a shooting that sent a teenager to the hospital Thursday.
Lansing police say officers responded to a report of a shooting around 6:55 p.m. at Seaway Drive and Sheffield Boulevard, near the entrance of Fulton Park on Lansing's west side.
Officers at the scene found a 17-year-old woman with a gunshot wound. She was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
No arrests have been made as of Friday morning. The shooting did not appear to be a random act and there is not an active threat to the public, police said.
