Teachers held rallies in ten cities across the state yesterday, demanding Governor Rick Snyder return $550 million taken from them under a law that was later ruled unconstitutional.

The law was in place from 2010 through 2012 and required three-percent deductions from the paychecks of school employees to pay for retiree benefits.

The State Court of Appeals recently ordered the money to be returned, but the Snyder administration is appealing to the Supreme Court of Michigan.
