A search is underway for the man who Lansing police say robbed a taxi driver at gunpoint.
Police say it happened late Tuesday night on Prospect Street near Pennsylvania. The cab driver had picked up a customer when the passenger pulled out a gun and demanded cash. The customer fired a round into the cab before fleeing on foot.
The taxi driver was not hit by the bullet. No one else was hurt. The suspect is described as a black man, 6'0. Police say he was wearing a black sweatshirt with a black hooded cap. If you have any information, call Lansing Police.
