Tax fraud case leads police to meth lab components

Two men were arrested after police found components used in the manufacturing of methamphetamines while investigating a tax fraud case.

The Michigan State Police Jackson Post reports that troopers were conducting a follow-up investigation at a residence in Spring Arbor Township. While investigating, they discovered components associated with the making of methamphetamines.

Troopers also found four firearms and suspected methamphetamine.

A 36-year-old Spring Arbor woman was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, maintain a meth lab and felony firearms.

A 22-year-old Spring Arbor man was arrested for possession of meth, maintaining a meth lab, felony firearms and violating his probation.

Both were arrested and lodged at the Jackson County Jail.
