The fugitive who prompted an hours-long standoff at a Lansing-area motel on Monday is facing five criminal charges.
29 Year old Devon Carl Baldwin, of Lansing, was arraigned Tuesday on two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, one count of domestic violence, one count of furnishing false information, and one count of having a knife over 3 inches.
The Eaton County Sheriff's Office says it got a tip Monday that Baldwin, a wanted fugitive with warrants for his arrest in Lansing, was staying at the Motel 6 on West Saginaw Highway in Delta Township.
Investigators tried negotiating with Baldwin for about 6 hours before they busted down a door to get to him. He was taken into custody at about 10:30 p.m Monday. He was then turned over to Lansing Police for the outstanding warrants.
