Suspects in Old Town homicide faced judge on Thursday

LANSING, Mich. — Two men who are suspects in a shooting that happened in Old Town were in court on Thursday.

They had a probable cause hearing in front of Judge Alderson.

Leonardo Gomes Rosales and Hilario Rene Rivera have been charged in the death of Reginald Craig.

Craig was killed outside of his apartment in Old Town on June 28, 2019.

Police say that he had an altercation with Rosales that turned physical and led to the shooting.

Rosales, 62, of Lansing, has been charged with open murder, carrying a concealed weapon, firearm possession of felon, and felony firearm (habitual 3).

Rivera, 32 of Lansing, was charged with one count of accessory after the fact to a felony (habitual 3).

On Thursday, the judge moved their preliminary exam to August 1, at 10 AM.
