A suspect has been charged in a weekend shooting in Lansing. Kelly Williams was arraigned on attempted murder and weapons charges.
Lansing police say Williams shot a 27-year-old man on the 2900 block of Beau Jardin Drive, near the corner of Jolly and Dunckel Roads, early Sunday morning.
The victim was treated at a hospital and is expected to live. He told investigators he knew the shooter.
Police say the shots were fired after the two men got into a disagreement outside an apartment building.
East Lansing police officers arrested Williams at the corner of Jolly and Hagadorn Roads after pulling over a car that matched the suspect vehicle description.
Police say they found evidence of the shooting in the car.
Williams is scheduled to be back in court for a probable cause conference on March 17.
His preliminary hearing is set for March 24.
