A suspect wanted in connection with a 2016 homicide in Lake County, Indiana was arrested Monday afternoon in Lansing.
17-year-old Lacindo Luckett is charged with murder in perpetration of a robbery, two counts of robbery, and one count of auto theft in Lake County.
Luckett is accused of shooting a man in Gary, Indiana on October 1. A second person, a juvenile girl was arrested in Gary and charged in the death several days after the shooting.
Investigation led authorities to suspect that Luckett was in the Lansing area based on a tip. They were able to track down Luckett on February 13, and arrested him without incident.
Luckett is being held at the Ingham County Jail in Mason, and will be taken back to Indiana after extradition proceedings are finished. He's expected to appear in court in Ingham County Tuesday.
