The Eaton County Sheriff's Department has arrested a man suspected in a Delta Township home invasion.
Deputies from the Sheriff's Office responded to a report of breaking and entering at a residence on the 600 block of Harriet Avenue in Delta Township on Saturday, May 6, 2017 around 2:30 PM.
The homeowner arrived at the residence and found a person in the house. The suspect ran away and deputies set up a perimeter. The Sheriff's Office was assisted by a K9 unit from the MSU Police Department which allowed them to track the suspect.
While they were searching for the suspect a person in the area told them they had spotted someone hiding in the backyard of a home nearby. Police found the person hiding, who had stolen property from the home in his possession. The K9 unit was able to track the suspect's trail and police recovered stolen jewelry and electronics taken from the home.
The suspect is lodged in the Eaton County Jail for the charge of Home Invasion. Stay with News 10 for updates as more information becomes available.
