Super Bowl is right around the corner, and many are getting ready to attend, or host their parties.
Super Bowl Sunday is the second largest day of food consumption, and according to the National Retail Federation, it is anticipated that more than 45 million fans will throw a Super Sunday party and spend $14.1 billion.
Here in mid-Michigan, Meijer is getting ready for the event.
To get people ready for the big day, Meijer decided to put some statistics together on what they expect to sell for game day.
They are anticipating to sell:
- 875,000 avocados
- 600,000 pizzas
- 40,000 pounds of chicken wings and tenders
- 20,000 deli trays
- 5 million beers
And for after the game day? Well, they expect they will sell 35,000 bottles of antacids.
