The annual "Summer Solstice Jazz Festival" got underway Friday in downtown East Lansing. One of the performers was 2012 Grammy winner and M.S.U. alum Ben Williams.
This is the 20th year for the festival and features several different types of jazz. It runs through Saturday night.
East Lansing has closed Albert Avenue between Abbot Road and M-A-C Avenue until noon on Sunday.
All parking ramps and lots except for the Albert Avenue lot will be open.
There will be valet parking for people who want to ride their bikes to the festival.
