LANSING, Mich. — Michigan prison workers are facing a major "mental health crisis," according to a new report released by the Michigan Department of Corrections that surveyed 3,500 employees.
The study found that workers have a higher likelihood of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder symptoms, suicidal thoughts, and depression.
The department said it's working to reduce employee suicides and improve staff wellness.
