A handful of local elementary students got a glimpse of the future today.
This virtual reality mobile classroom is called z-space.
It allows students to explore a variety of things ranging from the human body to some of the world's tallest buildings.
It happens in a 3D environment.
A computer expert says the VR labs help students test-out experiments before conducting them in the classroom.
"It's also a good way to get started if you're going to be a real physical experiment you can go through this first and you can learn parts and you can make your mistakes so that when you go in a physical experiment in the classroom, you don't need to make the same mistakes, you've already been through it," said John Laswell with Sehi Computer Products, Incorporated.
