A storm blew through mid-Michigan leaving thousands without electricity, and power lines down.

A tree fell on a car on Cahill Drive not far from Park Lake Road.

Meridian Township was hit the hardest. Okemos Road is closed between Cameron Oaks drive and Raby Road, just south of Haslett road.

Most of the power outages are in Consumers Energy territory, and more than a thousand are in Southern Clinton County. Meridian Township is seeing most of the outages between Haslett Road and Jolly Road.

The BWL is reporting outages in Northwest Lansing, East Lansing, and Haslett. They expect to have power back by 11:30pm.

As many as 700 DTE customers are without power in Eastern Ingham County. The biggest area affected is along Meridian Road between Grand River and I-96. They estimate that power will be back just after midnight.
