A state Senate Appropriations Committee has approved a $25 billion budget for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
The budget now moves to the Senate floor and includes an additional $5 million for senior nutrition programs like Meals on Wheels.
It also would give the first pay increase since 1991 for nurses caring for homebound children.
