A Mid-Michigan lawmaker is looking to switch chambers at the State Capitol.
Republican State Representative Brett Roberts, of Charlotte, announcing he's running for state senate in the 24th district.
Roberts jumping into the 2018 race at an event in Durand Monday.
He's attempting to replace current State Senator Rick Jones of Grand Ledge, who can't run again because of term limits.
