Ingham County, Mich. - According to the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) there is sufficient information to believe that the Ingham County Animal Control & Shelter has violated the Pet Shops, Dog Pounds, and Animal Shelters Act.
MDARD could impose an administrative fine of up to $1,000 for each violation. There are three violations.
Their investigation started in June State Investigation
after the shelter was investigated by the Michigan Humane Society.
This is a developing story, we will update the story throughout the day. MDARD has told us that this is still an ongoing investigation.
