According to the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) there is sufficient information to believe that the Ingham County Animal Control & Shelter has violated the Pet Shops, Dog Pounds, and Animal Shelters Act.
MDARD could impose an administrative fine of up to $1,000 for each violation. There are three violations.
Their investigation started in June

after the shelter was investigated by the Michigan Humane Society.
