A Michigan State Police lieutenant is tossing his hat into the ring for the upcoming Lansing City Council race.
First Lieutenant Kyle Bowman, who lives in old town, has filed to run for one of the two at large city council seats.|
Bowman has lived in Lansing for 16 years, and has worked for the Michigan State Police for 22 years.
He's currently the head of security at the state capitol.
Bowman says his two decades of public service has given him the experience to serve with integrity.
The filing deadline to run for Lansing City Council is today, the primary will be held in August.
