In an effort to aid in the Flint water crisis, the State along with city officials have set up five water resource sites for residents.
The sites offer bottled water, water filters, replacement cartridges and home water testing kits.
The Department of Health and Human Resources is asking people to use these resources to have clean water for drinking, food preparation and brushing your teeth.
The sites are open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m at the following locations:
Fire Station #1
310 East 5th St.
Flint, MI 48502
Fire Station #3
1525 Martin Luther King Ave.
Flint, MI 48503
Fire Station #5
3402 Western Rd.
Flint, MI 48506
Fire Station #6
716 West Pierson Rd.
Flint, MI 48505
Fire Station #8
202 East Atherton Rd.
Flint, MI 48507
If you're in need of transportation or other assistance, you're encouraged to call 211.
The State tells us in addition to the water resource sites, home water testing kits are available at Flint City Hall, the Flint Water Treatment Plant or Flint Fire Department locations.
