A local state employees union has been taken over because of some questionable finances.
The Michigan State Employees Association has more than 4,500 members.
The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees took over the union, saying it has to protect the dues and other resources that belong to them.
This happened after an audit raised "serious concerns about the financial management of the local and its failure to follow" the union's standards, according to a letter sent to members.
The new administrator for the local did not return our calls.
AFSCME is now handling all of the union's day-to-day operations.
