LANSING, Mich. — Too many kids in Michigan are putting others at risk.

That's what officials with the state's immunization program are saying.

They say hundreds of schools and childcare programs are vulnerable to outbreaks of contagious diseases, like measles, whooping cough and chicken pox.

The concern is based on the percentage of children with vaccination waivers.

Almost 400 schools and nearly 300 daycare programs had 10 percent or more of their students turn in a vaccine waiver.
