Michigan U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow is fighting to bring jobs back to Michigan.
She toured the state on Tuesday, touting her jobs agenda.
The first part of her plan is the, "Make it in America Act." The measure would close tax loopholes, giving American companies priority when the federal government makes purchases.
Also on her agenda is the "Bringing Jobs Home Act," which would offer tax cuts for companies bringing jobs back to the U.S. from other countries.
Senator Stabenow says she thinks President Trump will get behind her. Both the Bringing Jobs Home Act and the Make it in America Act have been referred to senate committees.
