Michigan senators dragged out Betsy Devos's nomination as Education Secretary as long as possible before Republicans got her confirmed Tuesday.
It doesn't sound like they'll be doing the same with President Trump's choice to run the US Department of Agriculture. He's former Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue.
Debbie Stabenow is the top Democrat on the agriculture committee and seems a lot more open to his nomination.
"I'm going to be meeting with Governor Perdue on Thursday and I'm looking forward to doing that. I've heard positive things. We're in the middle of the process of vetting him that involves FBI check and financial background checks and so on and so on. So I haven't made a final decision but I've heard positive things."
