The Rev. Mark Inglot is on administrative leave from St. Thomas Aquinas Parish in East Lansing while the diocese investigates claims of sexual harassment.

Inglot was accused of sexual harassment by an adult coworker on Sept. 5 and an investigation is underway.

The temporary administrator of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish is the Rev. Gary Koenigsknecht until further notice.

"The diocese is committed to maintaining a workplace that is free of harassment of any kind, including sexual harassment. Credible claims of violations to our harassment policies or our Code of Conduct will be met with immediate action that may include disciplinary actions up to and including termination," Communications Manager Denise Zakerski said in an email.

The parish advises those who may have been harmed by anyone representing the church to contact appropriate law enforcement and the Diocesan Victim Assistance Coordinator.
