Lansing – Spring may seem months away, but for students at Lansing Community College, registering for spring classes is only a few days away.
Returning students may register beginning Oct. 2, and new students who have completed orientation may begin registration Oct 3. The spring semester runs Jan. 8 through May 7, 2018. Class offerings can be viewed at lcc.edu/register beginning Friday.
The best place to start before registering for classes is making an appointment with an advisor. LCC has advisors at the Downtown Campus, West Campus, and at all extension centers. Registering now for spring classes gives students the best selection of days, times, locations and instructors for classes that fit in their busy schedules. Popular classes fill early.
New students need to attend orientation before registering.
Another important upcoming date is the Dec. 1 priority submit date for FAFSA, or Free Application for Federal Student Aid. FAFSA gives students the opportunity to receive federal grants or loans for school. Students do not have to pay back grants, and many federal student loans don’t have to be paid back until after students leave school. For details, visit www.lcc.edu/fa.
Students who need help with registration are welcome to call LCC at 517-483-1200, visit the StarZone in the Gannon Building, or visit West Campus, LCC East, Livingston County Center, or LCC North.
