A new study out from insurancequotes.com shows getting a speeding ticket can increase your car insurance by nearly 25%.
The website looked at tickets handed out in the United States from 2014 to 2016.
It found people caught driving 1 to 15 miles per-hour over the limit paid about 21% more for car insurance.
The study also found minor infractions like "failing to use your turn signal" can raise rates by 19%.
