An amazing honor for a couple in California on Valentine's Day. Maury and Helen Goosenberg were named "Longest Married Couple" by the group "Worldwide Marriage Encounter."
The Goosenbergs have been married 80 years. A special ceremony was held to pay tribute to the pair at the retirement community where they live. It included a congressional proclamation with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in attendance.
Helen Goosenberg has some advice for other couples hoping to go the distance. "A sense of humor is very important and just liking each other very much. I think that's the main answer for everything."
Maury Goosenberg is 102 and Helen is 100 years old. The couple eloped in Philadelphia in 1935.
