The city of Lansing will not have a representative in the state legislature in 2018.
On Friday, Governor Rick Snyder announced a special election will be held in November to replace Andy Schor, who was elected as Mayor of the Capitol City.
The primary is set for August.
Candidates must file to run by April 24th.
