Training to become one of Michigan's finest can be grueling on one's body.
That's why Sparrow Hospital and Michigan State Police have formed a partnership to help reduce recruits' injuries during their intense training.
Under the agreement, an athletic trainer is now on site at the Michigan State Police Training Academy on North Canal Road in Lansing.
The athletic trainer helps recruits prevent injuries by showing them proper training techniques.
Sparrow Hospital and Michigan State Police are scheduled to talk about their program Tuesday at the MSP Training Academy in Lansing at 10 a.m.
