Sparrow announces new President and CEO

LANSING, Mich. — Sparrow has announced its new President and CEO.

On Tuesday, May 21, James F. Dover was announced, effective June 17, 2019.

Dover is from the Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS), which was in Illinois.

He was the President and CEO at the HSHS Southern Illinois Division.

“I am very excited to be joining the Sparrow Health System family of Physicians, Caregivers, leaders, governance and Volunteers,” Dover said. “Everyone I have met at Sparrow has demonstrated their commitment to excellence and doing their best to support the communities we serve."

Dover comes to Sparrow with over 36 years of leadership experience in healthcare systems.

The announcement said that he has a background of creating and maintaining excellent environments for workers which results in excellent care and job satisfaction.

He says that he is looking forward to working at Sparrow and engaging everyone in collaborative and integrative relationships.

"Sparrow is a remarkable system," Dover said. "And I am excited about leading Mid-Michigan’s premier health system.”
