Multiple law enforcement agencies are being credited with saving a man's life after he threatened to jump from a bridge onto I-94.

The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday on M-40 on the I-94 overpass at exit 60 in Paw Paw.

Deputies say they got a 911 call from a man who said they had two minutes to get to the overpass.

When first responders arrived, they saw a car stopped in the middle of M-40. It then crashed into the guard rail and the driver got out of his car. He then climbed on top of the rail, threatening to jump.

Deputies say he was quickly pulled down with the help of deputies, Paw Paw police, and Michigan State Police.

He was later found to be intoxicated and was treated medically before being taken to the county jail.

No one was hurt.
